The secret to the heat Because we’ve crammed so much power into such a small space, the heat footprint is tight. To keep the lamp from burning itself out, we use halogen gas inside the quartz. This stops the filament from evaporating too quickly, so the lamp actually lasts. Plus, you get a level of infrared penetration that just blows standard medium-wave heaters out of the water. It goes deeper into the material, which is exactly what you want for a proper cure. Why the white coating matters You might look at the white coating and think it’s just for looks. It’s not. Think of it as a mirror. It pushes the infrared radiation forward, aiming the heat right at your workpiece instead of letting it waste away into the lamp housing. It turns the whole thing into a directional heat beam. One quick tip: keep your reflectors clean. If dust builds up on that white coating, you’ll get hot spots. And hot spots are the fastest way to kill a tube. Getting it installed These are designed to be easy drop-in replacements for your industrial drying or curing lines.
