
Let’s talk about our 220V 1500W Halogen Heating Lamps
If you need a massive burst of infrared heat, fast, this is where these lamps come in. We build them with a tungsten filament tucked inside a quartz tube and filled with halogen gas. Here is the cool part: the gas creates a cycle that puts the evaporated tungsten right back onto the filament. It keeps the glass clear and stops the lamp from burning out too quickly. Power and Voltage We went with 1500W at 220V because some jobs just need a huge punch of heat to get a surface up to temperature in a matter of seconds. Plus, since it runs on 220V, you can plug it straight into standard industrial single-phase power. No need to mess around with bulky, expensive step-down transformers. It just works. The Quartz Factor The quartz glass is the secret sauce here. It lets short-wave IR radiation fly right through without soaking up the heat itself. That means the energy goes exactly where you want it—straight into your workpiece. But a word of warning:**do not touch the quartz with your bare hands.**I mean it. The oils from your skin create these tiny hot spots. When the lamp heats up, those spots cause the glass to crack. Use gloves or a clean cloth. Putting them to work You’ll usually see these in PET blowing machines, plastic welding setups, or curing lines. They’re perfect for conveyor belts because they react almost instantly. Just keep a few things in mind. 1500W in such a small tube creates an incredible amount of localized heat. If your housing doesn’t have enough vents or your fans are too weak, you’re going to melt your wiring or warp the holders. Also, make sure your controllers can handle that initial “cold-start” surge. You don’t want to be replacing blown fuses every time you flip the switch.
