Let’s talk about the 1000W Halogen Infrared Bulb
If you need heat—and you need it now—this is the tool for the job. We built these bulbs to hit hard and fast. Inside that quartz glass, there’s a tungsten filament and a halogen gas cycle working together. Basically, the gas keeps the filament fresh by pushing evaporated tungsten back where it belongs. This stops the glass from getting cloudy and keeps the bulb from burning out the moment things get hot. Why the 1000W matters It’s all about speed. These bulbs don’t waste time heating up the air around them; they shoot energy straight into your material. It’s a direct hit. That means your cycle times drop and your productivity goes up. Just a heads-up: make sure your power supply is steady. If you get a sudden voltage spike, that filament is toast. Simple as that. The nitty-gritty on design We use quartz because it can handle the heat without melting and lets the infrared light pass through without a fight. Most of these use R7s or SK15 connectors, so you can usually just pop them into your existing heater banks without any fuss. You might see some of our bulbs with a coating. These are great for shifting how the heat hits or just protecting the glass. But keep in mind, that coating adds a bit of resistance. You’ll probably need to tweak your timing a little bit to get the same result. Real-world use You’ll see these all over the place in PET bottle blowing or shrink wrapping. They give you that immediate punch of heat to soften plastic without turning the rest of your machine into an oven. For the best results, pair them with a PID controller to keep your temperatures locked in. One last thing: keep an eye on your reflectors. If they’re dirty or pitted, you’re wasting energy. Instead of hitting your product, that 1000W of power just bounces off the back wall. Keep them clean, and you’ll get every bit of heat you paid for.
