At 800W, they’re a perfect fit for those medium-to-large industrial ovens where you just need a reliable, drop-in replacement that actually works. The balance of power and size Here’s the thing about the 800W rating—it’s all about how much heat you get per millimeter. By stretching that power across 610mm, we make sure the heat spreads out evenly. You won’t deal with those annoying, extreme hot spots you often find in shorter, high-wattage tubes. Just a heads-up: make sure your power supply matches the lamp’s voltage. If they’re out of sync, you’ll burn through your filament way faster than you should. Why the quartz and halogen matter We house the tungsten filament in high-purity quartz glass. Inside, there’s a halogen gas that does the heavy lifting. It stops the tungsten from gunking up the inside of the tube, which keeps the filament thickness steady. For you, that means the lamp lasts longer and the color temperature doesn’t drift. Plus, because it’s shortwave radiation, the heat doesn’t waste time warming up the air around the part. It dives straight into the material. It’s fast. Really fast. Getting it into your setup These lamps play nice with most standard industrial controllers. The best part? They hit operating temperature almost instantly. No more standing around waiting for the oven to warm up. But, you have to be careful. Shortwave IR is intense. If the lamp is too close to your part, you’re going to scorch the surface. You’ll want to double-check your reflector angles and conveyor speeds so you don’t overheat everything. And one last tip: keep an eye on your cooling fans. If they aren’t pulling their weight, the reflected heat will absolutely wreck your socket housing.
