Electric Halogen Infrared Lamp: The Heat You Need, Where You Need It
We built this electric halogen infrared lamp for one simple reason: to give you heat that’s focused, controllable, and fast—exactly where standard heaters just can’t cut it. This is shortwave infrared, built for the realities of the plant floor. Think PET blowing, thermoforming, drying lines—any job that needs heat right now, in one tight spot.
Power, Voltage, and Geometry—Designed Around Your Machine
The specs aren’t random. They’re matched to how heat moves and how much space you actually have. The 400V rating means you get serious wattage packed into a small footprint. Result? It warms up faster and hits higher peak temps than lower-voltage options. And that 300mm tube length? It gives you a clean, defined heating zone without forcing you to redesign your machine housing. At 2500W across that 300mm length, you get high heat density. So when the line starts, or when the setpoint changes, the response is quick. Really quick. But here’s the part you can’t ignore: that kind of heat means your cooling and thermal management have to be up to the task. If the surrounding components can’t handle the ambient heat, the lamp will pay the price—no matter how tough it is.
What’s Inside: Halogen, Quartz, Coating, and a Smart Connection
Inside, the halogen cycle keeps the filament stable even at extreme temps. That means less blackening over time and consistent output, shift after shift. The quartz tube? It handles the shock of rapid on/off cycling without cracking, and it lets shortwave infrared energy pass through cleanly and efficiently. Then there’s the reflective coating. It pushes more energy forward, straight onto the target. That gives you more usable power where you need it and keeps excess heat off nearby parts. For hooking up, we use an R7s connector. It’s straightforward and secure, so you can wire it in as a direct replacement—no socket modifications, no headaches.
On the Floor: Performance That Feels Predictable
In practice, this setup is built for production life. It heats up fast, so short cycles stay short. And because the heat is focused, you can warm the product without turning the whole machine into a furnace. That means more predictable control, steady output, and maintenance planning that’s easier to live with. Just be straight with yourself: high heat density requires proper cooling and the right spacing. When your layout accounts for that, this lamp settles in as a reliable, drop-in heat source—one that keeps up with demanding industrial work, day after day.
