Introduction
Let’s talk about a lamp that’s built for the tight spots—the kind of job where you need serious heat, but you simply don’t have room for a bulky setup. We built the 222mm, 144V halogen heating lamp for exactly those moments. It’s all about delivering fast, focused infrared heat in a compact footprint. And it does it without making your electrical system feel like it’s about to throw its hands up in defeat.
Technical Deep-Dive
Here’s the thing about the specs. The 222mm length is intentional. It’s short enough to slip into those cramped heating zones where bigger heaters just can’t go. Then there’s the 144V rating. We picked it because it lines up with the control voltages you see in a lot of machines. That choice keeps the current lower than what you’d get with a 230V or 240V option. The payoff? You can use thinner wiring and smaller terminals, and you won’t get that frustrating voltage drop down the line. What you end up with is a stable element temperature and heat output you can count on. Every single cycle.
Material & Design
Inside, the halogen cycle is doing the quiet work. It keeps the quartz envelope clean by pulling evaporated tungsten back to the filament. So the lamp stays bright, instead of fading fast. The quartz tube itself is tough. It handles the shock of rapid on/off cycles way better than regular glass. And it pushes out shortwave infrared efficiently, which means you get that quick heat-up when you need it. The R7s base makes installation a no-brainer. It’s a straight-line, double-ended connector that drops right into standard fixtures. Line up the pins, seat it, clamp it. Done. And if your design uses an SK15 base instead, we can supply the same lamp on that interface. No fuss.
Application & Benefits
This lamp shines wherever you need fast, localized heat. Think plastics heating (including PET blowing), curing adhesives, drying coatings, or preheating components. The shortwave output hits the target fast. And the compact size lets you get heat into places that bigger heaters simply can’t reach. Now, a quick reality check. That high heat density is powerful, but it needs respect. You have to manage the airflow and heat around the lamp. If you don’t keep the ambient and reflector temperature in check, you’ll shorten its life. But if you spec the fixture properly, you get repeatable heating with a lamp that’s robust and easy to service.
